I received an email this morning from Iceberg Interactive, who is publishing Vertigo Games 'Adams Venture: The Search for The Lost Garden'. The game has a 'Rich and involving storyline that weaves a classic adventure with biblical overtones', focuses on 'Non-Violent gameplay' and is powered by the Unreal 3 Engine.

I've got to say it...finally, a Christian video game that looks to be great! I've always had a feeling that the first Christian developers to get their act together would come from outside the USA.[/img]

If you go to their site, http://www.iceberg-interactive.com/ , they also list a poker game, Killing Floor and Zeno Clash. I'm not sure if they developer or are just publishing for them. Those games are a concern.

Does that detract from the other? Not if it is a good game but I haven't had time to pursue it.

Anyone try Adam's Venture yet?

Tim

That's the publisher. Vertigo Games is the developer. Previous projects include What Would Jesus Say for the iPhone.

In any case, I'm working on an interview with the developers which will be featured on ICE. So while their website may be a little coy about their motivations and goals I'm hoping they'll discuss where they're coming from.

Thanks for digging that up ... wait, the Jesus Says game is similar to a concept I had although I was going to try to incorporate interactive storytelling.

Excellent! Looking forward to reading/seeing that interview! Please keep us posted.

Hey, do you have better contact info than: info@vertigo-games.com
If so, you can PM or Email me. Thanks!

I received my review copy. Early impressions are good. The voice acting is a bit stiff but otherwise it's going good. The game also scales well to my older system...which other UE3.0 games have not done.

Thanks Patrick - will try to read your review this weekend.

I have a copy - just need to find the time to fire it up.

I saw it at GoGamer.com as well!

Doggone it - my PC is too old. Well, specifically, my video card is - doesn't have hardware shading!

Sad

Heh, I haven't upgraded my PC in several years (beyond a new HD and more RAM) and even then my video card is Shader Model 3.0 capable. Sounds like it's time to upgrade... Laughing
